Proceedings of the Conference “Ensemble TURAN as a Phenomenon in Turkic Music Culture” Have Been Published

The collection of articles from the international scientific and practical conference “Ensemble TURAN as a Phenomenon in Turkic Music Culture,” held on April 10 at the National Museum, has been published.It is available in four languages: Kazakh, Russian, English, and Turkish.

Bringing together leading scholars, art researchers, educators, master’s and doctoral students, and undergraduates from Kazakhstan, Türkiye, Azerbaijan, Tatarstan, Russia, the United States, Taiwan, and several other countries, the scientific event became a major platform for academic exchange.

The conference offered a comprehensive analysis of the shared musical codes of Turkic peoples, their transformation in today’s ethno-cultural space, and the TURAN ensemble’s contribution to these processes and its rich musical legacy.

Research topics ranged from the ensemble’s unique performance style to its influence on music, theater, cinema, choreography, national costume, pedagogy, and management – as well as its role in intercultural communication.
