The TURAN ensemble performed in Altai, the golden cradle of the Turkic world

The musical brand of the Turkic world and ambassador of Turkic culture – the ensemble TURAN – held its solo concert on June 14 in Katon-Karagai district, East Kazakhstan region, within the framework of the international festival “Altai – the Golden Cradle of the Turkic World.”

Alongside their iconic piece “Er Turan” (lyrics by I. Saparbay), which has become an anthem of the Turkic world, the ensemble performed their finest works, including “Uly Turan – Mangilik,” “Korogly,” “Kurmanbek – Kyrk Zhigit” (Kyrgyz), “Kymys yyrata” (Sakha), “Kara Su” (Altai), and many others. These compositions not only inspired audiences from across the Turkic world but also once again proved the deep-rooted kinship and brotherhood.

Within the festival, there was also a scientific-practical conference, a photo exhibition, “aitys” (traditional improvised poetry contest), and an “alaman baige” (long-distance horse race).

At the festival’s gala concert, performances were given by Arkhan Uygu (Sakha Republic), Alexey Khovalyg (Tuva Republic), Mukhammed Torebekov (Republic of Karakalpakstan), Dilmurad Gulmuradov (Republic of Uzbekistan), Mirjavad Jafarov (Republic of Azerbaijan), Nuraiym Akylbekova (Kyrgyz Republic), Muhammed Ali Ucar (Republic of Türkiye), DEFNE (Republic of Tatarstan), Yuliana Krivoshapkina (Sakha Republic), Subedey Samdyn (Mongolia), as well as from Kazakhstan: the bands “Muzart” and “Abyroi”, Yerlan Ryskali, Kobylandy Bolat, Ernar Sadirbayev, and Kurali Meyrambek.
