Orteke

Orteke is a form of syncretic art common to Turkic-speaking peoples. It integrates several types of art, including handicrafts, music, dance, and puppetry. The puppets move to the rhythm of the music, controlled by strings attached to the musician's hand. In 2022, it was included in UNESCO's Representative List of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity. The puppets used by the "TURAN" ensemble were created by Erdos Rakhymbek, a master craftsman and artist who specializes in making traditional Kazakh musical instruments.
